The gallery has two screens: browse mode and view mode.
Three ways to switch between these screens in published photo gallery:
- click the icon in the top panel photo gallery browse mode icon or photo gallery view mode icon,
- double click on image or thumbnail,
- right click menu option,

Also you can choose in the configuration settings which mode goes first, or disable one of them.

User Interface => Gallery tab => Gallery Modes => Select one of 4 options.

Single domain version has only View Mode enabled.
